1. Ticket:
SLACK SEASON (11/01 to 03/31 of the next year): 20 rmb for the main gate, 40 rmb for the all in one package.
PEAK SEASON(04/01 to 10/31): 30 rmb for the main gate, 50 rmb for the all in one package.
Foxiangge: 10 rmb for both the slack season and peak season.
Suzhoujie: 10 rmb for both the slack season and peak season.
Deheyuan: 5 rmb for both the slack season and peak season.
The all in one package includes: main gate,Deheyuan, Foxiangge and Suzhoujie.
If you are a Beijing citizen, you can buy a monthly ticket and it costs 30 rmb. This monthly ticket is for the entrance of the main gate of Summer Palace only.
Some tips:
(1). Free admission for the kids(shorter than 1.2 meters).
(2). 50% off if you have a senior card.
(3). 50% off if you have a student ID.
(4). Free admission for the military personnel(for the main gate only).
(5). Free admission if you have a retirement personnel ID (for the main gate only).
2. Attractions of the Summer Palace:
(1). Foxiangge: It is the center of the Summer Palace and a must see for the travellers.
(2). Suzhoujie street: It is like the shopping center for the ancient Chinese emperor. There are more than 60 stores in this street now. All the store owners wear the traditional Chinese dresses. You can get all kinds of ancient Chinese products for your China travel here.

4. Wencangyuan: You can not enter this place with the all in one package ticket. It is like a small museum and you can see lots of unique Chinese antiques here. (cost 10 rmb)
5. Boat service in Summer Palace:
The boat service of Summer Palace is from 8 am to 5 pm. There are 5 kinds of boat service available.
(1). Hand Boat(capacity is 4 people): You will need to pay a deposit for this. It is available at the Shiqikong Bridge East.
(2). Pedal Boat(capacity is 4 people): It is available at the Zhichunting South and Paiyunmen. The deposit is 200 rmb and it costs 20 rmb per hour.
(3). Electric Motor Boat(capacity is 4 people): It is available at the Zhicunting South. The deposit is 200 rmb and it costs 30 rmb per hour.
(4). Dragon Boat(capacity is about 30-80 people): It is available at Tongniu, Nanhudao, Yulantang, Paiyundian, Shifang and the ticket price is 5-6 rmb.
(5). Taihe Gaily-painted Pleasure-Boat: It is a 2 storey boat and the capacity is about 50-400 people. It is a good choice for the banquets.
6. Bus to the Summer Palace:
There are lots of bus lines connecting to the Summer Palace.
You can take the 209, 330, 331, 332, 346, 394, 712, 718, 726, 732, 737, 801, 808, 817, 826 buses to the East Gate of the Summer Palace.
303, 330, 331, 346, 375, 384, 393, 634, 716, 718, 737, 801, 808, 817, 834 buses to the North Gate of the Summer Palace.
